Special SOLDIER TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING
A special board meeting of the Soldier Township Board was called to order on October 1 9, 2022, at 10:00 a.m.. Board members present were Karl McNorton (Trustee), Jerry Glasgow (Treasurer) and Mike Mathes (Clerk). Also present were Bob Oliva (Township Business Administrator/Road Superintendent), Doug Schmitt (Fire Chief), and Laurie Moody (Bookkeeper).
Guest in attendance was — Mark Prellwitz
Member Mathis made motion to move into Executive Session at 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., to discuss acquisition of property. Member McNorton seconded the motion. Motion carried 3-0. All persons present remained to participate in the Executive Session.
Returned from Executive Session into open meeting at 10:30 a.m. with no action having been taken.
Member Glasgow made motion to have legal counsel draft a contract for the intent to purchase 10 acres of property located at the 4400 block of Topeka Boulevard from Mark Prellwitz, for the price of $90,000, with the closing date of the sale to be after January 1, 2023. Motion was seconded by Mike Mathes. Motion carried 3-0.
With no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 10:30 a.m.
